90 years with the root as palate, with the soul of an old mole, drawing from the depths mineral aromas that taste of snow, fruit and earth.
I am an old vine… from La Consulta.
In the heart of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, we craft high-altitude Malbecs that embody the purity of the Argentine terroir. Vineyards over 40 years old, cultivated without chemical treatments, come wines with true character, authentic, expressive, and elegant.
Powerful and complex, with notes of cedar, undergrowth and spice. On the palate, it’s structured, with smoky, toasty notes and a long, refined finish.
Dense and structured, with notes of violet, ripe fruit, and a deep, elegant finish.
Fresh and vibrant, with red berry notes, floral hints, and a juicy, refreshing finish.
Italian immigrants, among them Mr. Lobo and Mr. Giacommo, arrived in the Uco Valley from Buenos Aires, carrying Malbec cuttings with them.
When they arrived at this wild plateau, 1.100 meters above sea level, facing the colossal wall of the Andes crowned by Mount Tupungato, they knew this was where their vines and their families would take root.
A century later, these 4 and 6 hectare vineyards, free from phylloxera and still farmed without chemical intervention, reveal their best-kept secret: a Malbec that is pure, bold, and mystical.
UCO Wines is part of the Sagardi Group universe, a gastronomic project dedicated to honoring ingredients of origin and culinary excellence. With the same passion that we bring Basque cuisine to the world, we craft wines that tell the story of the Uco Valley in every glass.
